Questions & Answers

What exactly is Cantera?

A slatted board: narrow wood-look slats fixed to a charcoal felt base. The felt shows as thin dark lines between the slats and is also the face that goes against the wall.

Can I put it up without drilling?

Yes. Cantera is designed to be glued with panel mastic or pressed on with double-sided foam tape, so most walls need no screws or anchors.

Which walls work best?

Smooth, dry, painted drywall or plaster indoors. Freshly painted walls should cure for a couple of weeks first, and very damp rooms are best avoided.

How do I make a board narrower or shorter?

To trim width, draw a sharp blade along the felt gap between slats; length comes down with a fine-toothed saw drawn through every slat at your pencil mark.

Do the finishes match real wood exactly?

They are wood-look finishes. Screens and lighting change how a tone appears, which is why the Color Chip Deck exists: check it at home before you order a whole wall.

Where in the world can you send an order?

Canada, Australia, New Zealand and the United States, all four with no fee on the standard service. Express can be bought at checkout for faster arrival.

When should my boards turn up?

They leave Enid within 1–3 business days, then typically land 7–15 business days later. Tracking is emailed the day they ship.

What if I change my mind?

Boards that are uncut, unmounted and back in the carton they came in qualify for a return for one month from delivery. Start with an email and we reply with the steps.

Something came out of the carton broken?

Send photos of the damaged item and its packaging within 7 days of delivery, and we will replace it or refund you.
